Photography has always been and will continue to be, the sole purpose of my being. That and being Naomi’s mom….. I want to live in a world of true love, long slow songs, fairy lights over dance floors, cuddling up beside fires, the goosebumps when they grab your hand, the dirty jokes and texts at dinner, the awkward and the goofy faces. I aim to capture the real stuff. The stuff that years from now, will make you tear up and time travel back to that very moment you’re picturing. Photography to me is those fleeting moments between you and your grandparents, the moments between you and your families you’ll re-live for years and years to come. I want to capture those moments you wished upon some 11:11’s ago.

Are you a fellow fresh air enthusiast? Then we’ll get along great. (Seriously, anything outdoors and I’m there faster than you can say ‘boho Zion wedding’!)
I’m cheesier than a cheese quesadilla and when I say I’m 5’10, I really mean 6’. I love binge-watching my fav Netflix shows and then instantly regretting binging the entire season cause now I don’t know what to watch.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I’m thankful for whatever brought you here. I also believe in taking a human-centered approach to photography and feel strongly that my clients all deserve to feel comfortable, fulfilled, and appreciative of their experiences in front of the camera.
With 11 years of experience in the industry, I started Jessica Douglas Photography to build deeper connections with every couple, individual, and family I have the pleasure of working with. Every part of the process is unique to you and I’m proud to capture such important moments in your life so that you will have images to look back on that truly represent you and your relationships.
Zion National Park is my all-time favorite place to visit.
I’m married to Victor. I knew from the moment I laid eyes on his Plenty of Fish profile photo that he was the one! We married at a gorgeous outdoor venue, down a forest floor path, and seven years later, we’re still living the dream.
I love connecting with outgoing, caring, and nurturing people who are down for anything and who have big dreams and a drive to achieve their goals.
I’d rather spend time with my family around a campfire than a night on the town.

I have so many hard drives for my photos that they have their own storage space in my house!
My favorites are PSLs, smores, cheese pizza, and fall-scented candles. Oh! And thunderstorms, mountains, and hiking.

I used to play semi-pro soccer and I had the opportunity to represent Canada during the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
Movie theater popcorn is my favourite food ever! Seriously, I won't share it… EVER!
I graduated in 2011 from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Photography. But my education didn't stop there. Year after year, I commit to going to the best of the bests workshops from all around the world. Most recently, I attended Henry Tieu's "Hey Darling" workshop
